Listening to: On Your Knees Red vs Blue season 9
Wow, been a while since I wrote one of these things, huh? So, how about an update?
I had my birthday, it was nothing special, just a normal day spent at home.
About a month later I graduated from high school. My Nanny and Papa drove their Harley Davidson all the way from Seattle to come see me.
I applied to JobCorps and recently learned that my folder was submitted and that now it's just a waiting game. I'm going to hopefully enter the Culinary Arts program. After that I'm going to save my money for a few years and then go to FullSail online for their Animation classes.
My old laptop also broke. The screen is barely attached to the rest of the laptop. It still turns on, and it works, but I can't take it anywhere, I can't even close it properly. So, I got a new one, spent most my money on it. It works great. It handles games a lot better, which I'm grateful for. My things don't lag anymore. I downloaded LibreOffice for it and it works great. I also managed to put everything onto my flash drive and put it on the new laptop, so I have everything. The mouse is a bit sensitive though. It'll sometimes freeze if I stimulate it too much.
I'm also working on a personal project. An original fiction idea. I have all the characters written down, and I've started drawing them. I have the rough draft of one of them down, and I'm going to keep working on it until I like the quality. There are a lot of characters, and I haven't even expanded on them completely. It's going to be a long project, and I'm going to try and work on it whenever possible. I really want to stick with it and I hope that I won't end up dropping it like I do with everything else.
But I'm determined. If there's one thing I learned it's to never give up. Keep the goal in sight, always remind yourself about it. And never surrender even if you really want to. You just have to keep moving forward. Even if it seems like you've barely gotten anything done, you're a whole lot closer to your goal than you were yesterday.
